By law, all buses running in public service with at least 21 seats must be accessible to wheelchair users. This includes tour buses in York, Scarborough and Whitby.
Please note that most buses only have one wheelchair space, which is allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
A small number of services in North Yorkshire are run as community services or by the council using smaller minibuses that are not covered by this legislation and cannot normally accommodate wheelchairs:

- 72: Buckden to Grassington (NYCC and UWV only)
- 74: Grassington to Ilkley
- 74: Northallerton town service
- 77: Wetherby to Tadcaster
- 147: Thirsk to Ripon
- 150: Thirsk to Ripon
- 153: Thirsk to Northallerton
- 155: Bedale to Leyburn
- 210: Skipton to Malham
- 212: Skipton to Carleton
- 214: Skipton to Embsay
- 216: Skipton to Greatwood
