York Races
A frequent shuttle bus, route 197, runs from York railway station to the Racecourse on race days, at least every 15 minutes. These services are operated by various operators including First, Transdev and Pullman.
Buses run from the station from 1100 until about 10 minutes before the first race. Buses return from the racecourse from 1630 until about 1 hour after the last race

On other days, the 11 runs to the main entrance, and there are frequent services to Tadcaster Road, 5–10 minutes walk away
Harrogate Spring Flower Show
From Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 April (2010), Harrogate & District will run a shuttle bus between Harrogate bus station (stand 12) and the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Buses leave Harrogate at 0850 then every 20 minutes until 1750 (1650 on Sunday)
Buses leave the Showground at 0910 then every 20 minutes until 1810 (1710 on Sunday)
Single fare: £2.30 – return fare: £3.70

Great Yorkshire Show
For the three days of the Great Yorkshire Show in July, Harrogate & District run free shuttle buses at frequent intervals from Harrogate bus station (at least every 20 minutes)
Buses start running at about 0730, and finish at about 2000 (Tuesday/Wednesday) or 1900 (Thursday), and are timed to connect with trains from Leeds and York.
There will be no shuttle service from Hornbeam Park this year.
All buses around Harrogate are likely to be disrupted due to heavy traffic over those three days so please allow additional time for your journey.
Scarborough open-top buses
Scarborough & District run open-top buses during the summer
- 108 runs every hour, from Scarborough Bowls Centre to "The Royal" on Esplanade Crescent via Marine Drive (daily, 18 July to 31 August 2009)
- 109 runs a frequent service, from North Bay (The Sands) to South Bay (The Spa). Buses run daily from 4 April to 1 November 2009, starting at 0930 and finishing at 1800, or 2000 in the school summer holidays

Whitby open-top tour buses
Coastal & Country run a Whitby tour bus during the summer
Buses run a circuit from the town centre to the Whalebones, West Cliff, the Abbey and returning to the town centre, which takes about an hour.
From 1 April to 6 September 2009, buses run daily from 1000 to 1700. From 7 September to 31 October 2009, buses run daily except Monday and Friday from 1000 to 1530.
Adult: £4.00 – Senior citizen/Child/Student: £3.00 – Family: £10.00 – tickets are valid all day

Open-top tour buses run frequent services around York city centre daily throughout the year, calling at major tourist attractions including Clifford's Tower and Exhibition Square. 24-hour and 48-hour tickets are available. See the links below for more details.

Easter 2010
Unless otherwise stated, a Sunday service will run on Good Friday and Easter Monday. A normal Saturday service will run on Easter Saturday.
The Moorsbus network, including EYMS 128, will run a full service on all four days.
The following exceptions will run on Good Friday and Easter Monday:
- All York Park & Ride routes will run a normal weekday service on both days
- First York X64 will run a Saturday service on both days
- EYMS 118 will run a normal service on Good Friday
- Silverline services around Thirsk that normally run on bank holiday Mondays will run on Easter Monday (see individual timetables for details)
- Pennine will run a Saturday service on 212, 214, 215, 216 and 580 on Easter Monday
- Coastliner will run a Saturday service on both days
- Harrogate & District and Keighley & District will run a Saturday service on Good Friday
- Transdev York will run a normal Friday service on 20 on Good Friday (Sunday service on Easter Monday), a special timetable on 24/26 on Good Friday and Easter Monday, and no service on any route on Easter Sunday.
- Arriva Yorkshire (buses serving York and Selby area) will be running a Saturday service on Good Friday
