Events and Competitions: 2011/12
Competitions are generally free to enter, and are open to all members. Non-members may play with the permission of the chairman, but will not normally be eligible to win any prizes.

Individual (Fruit Bowl)
One evening during spring/early summer, not to be announced in advance.
Teams events
We hold up to three teams events during the course of the year. We don't plan these in advance, because we do need to have the right number of complete tables to make them work; they can happen on any non-competition night. There will be prizes for all these events.

Christmas Party - 16 December 2011
The now legendary Military Movement, and the usual Christmas goodies. Wine and fruit juice on arrival (6.45). All players to bring something for the buffet so we can pig out at half time!
Mixed Flitch - 10 February 2011
A one-night competition, with partnerships to be drawn at random at the beginning of the evening. Partners can get to know each other over a glass of wine before play begins.
Annual General Meeting - 23 March 2012
Discussion of anything that's gone on throughout the year, presentation of prizes and election of the new committee
Annual Dinner - 20 April 2012
We will again be asking the Potts to provide a tasty buffet for a fun night of bridge
